her. The Gold Coast flying instructor took her first Angel Flight
on Tuesday, saving 13 year-old Kayla Graham, who has kidney disease,

A
young 14 year old Bradley, from Kimba on the Eyre Peninsula has
an hereditary condition that means he needs specialist treatment
in Adelaide. He enjoyed a plane flight for the trip instead of a
six hour car journey.

Rockhampton
father of two, David Sharp, has been praying for miracles since
he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in early January.
A "lucky" accident may be the first part of the miracle,
because David only discovered he had a problem following an accident
whilst using a whipper snipper.

angels in the sky
This man has been suffering from a long term kidney disease and
for the last few months has been on home renal dialysis. He has
received a new kidney from a deceased donor but unfortunately
the kidney is not working as well as it should and he needs to be
seen in Adelaide every week for assessment and review. He would
normally undertake an exhausting journey by bus, overnight (8 hrs
), then back to Cleve the next day by bus. He returns sleepless
and physically drained after the road travel but until now there
was no other alternative.
This

Leigh and her daughters Kristen and Kelly were flown to "Bloomhill
Cancer Help" where the family was accommodated free of charge
while receiving much needed emotional and psychological support
during this period of uncertainty.

Family's
angel of mercy
A family of four in Ceduna, South Australia requiring two "Angels"
to take them to Sydney where they met up with mum and Taj (4 months)
who is awaiting a liver transplant. When the pilots arrived in Ceduna,
they each flew two members of the family to Mildura, Victoria, where
a Melbourne based Angel Flight Pilot will took the family on to
Bankstown. The only other alternative was a two-day journey by road,
an extra burden on Taijs Dad, Kirk, and Taijs two older
brothers, Jye [3] and Brayden [9] and their grandmother Marion who
is travelling with them.

services takes to the sky
This very special Angel Flight had been organised to transport local
father of a four-month-old baby boy, Michael Williams, to Melbournes
Alfred Hospital for on-going treatment for a rare type of Leukaemia.
This means that instead of the usual 12 hour plus drive to and from
Melbourne for Michael, his wife, Eve, and their four month old son,
Seth, he can make the trip in just over two hours and be back home
the same day.
This

citizen required a return flight to Adelaide for experimental treatment
of lung cancer. He was accompanied by his dear wife. Our passengers

The
Australian Kidney Foundation and The Royal Hobart Hospital have asked
for our help. A 36 year old man's last wish to see his 8 year
daughter for the last time. He lives in Hobart and she lives on the
Gold Coast with her mother. The mission is to fly his daughter and
her mother from Coolangatta to Hobart and back. Here's the story from
the pilot who did the journey.

Angel
Flight generously contributing to the reunion of the Grey family after
more than a year apart. Jason Grey, in Brisbane for cystic fibrosis
treatment, was reunited with his brother and nephew from Sydney. Their
mum Debbie, delighted they could be together.
