Angel
flight 2 by Greg Manzie Comment by Greg "MKP departed Archerfield on a typically beautiful winters day. Warren, his mum, Rosie and sister Kim are good flyers and handled the few bumps early on until we got our clearance and was able to climb to our cruising altitude of 6000 feet. Warren was happy picking out the towns along our track - Toowoomba's size impressed him! He was hoping to spend the weekend on his motor bike. However mum had to remind him that because of problems with his pacemaker his bike was off limits for now. Not impressed... A 25 knot headwind stretched the flight to nearly 2 hours. On landing at Roma we were met by Warren's grandma and his cousin as well as a very cool breeze! Warren's a great kid and his family delightful. Hopefully we will meet again on another Angel Flight..." |
