SUBSEQUENT TRIP REQUEST: 260th and 261st flights. Fifteen year old Kayla from Chinchilla had a failed kidney transplant and is now back on home dialysis. However she still needs to receive medical treatment at the PA Hospital's Dialysis Unit (Brisbane) three times per week. Angel Flight assist the family and fly Kayla and grandmother Pam twice per week while she makes the lengthy trip via road with her mother once per week. flight 1 by David Wilson Comment by David "7.30am from Chinchilla means 6.10am from Caloundra so it's a cold start at first light. Kayla and her Gran were waiting on time as usual so it was a quick turnaround followed by an uninterrupted leg to Archerfield past dormant Oakey and Amberley. Saturday is a busy training day at Archerfield but even with a queue for 28R I was back in Caloundra for breakfast." |
