INITIAL TRIP REQUEST: 7 month old Cruz had been diagnosed with Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and required flight assistance from Dubbo to Sydney for evaluation at the Sydney Cochlear Implant Centre. Air transportation was needed as it was vital that Cruz be fresh and alert for the evaluation. If the cochlear implant operation goes ahead, Cruz will have to attend weekly, fortnightly and then monthly visits to Sydney for approximately 12 months.
