Angel Flight 1 comment by Stuart Stirling
"Happy
to be of some use for this trip. Was worried about space and
comfort for Violet and Lyn plus baggage in my little Cherokee,
so I flew it to Toowoomba and hired RCN a beaut C182 that
I have used on other occasions. After the trip flew my aircraft
home. Now I know the setup I reckon the Cherokee could do
the job if required next time."
Cheers

Thursday
8th April, was Angel Flights 1st Birthday and the media
were invited to witness an angel in action. The angel
on this occasion was Angel Flight pilot, Tracy Bray of the
Gold Coast. WIN
News covered this flight.
Angel Flight 2 comment Tracy Bray
"Well
another wonderful flight. Violet and Lyn were great and enjoyed
the flight. WIN TV were there when we landed at YTWB, interview
went well...I think, I remembered all the figures. They said
it would air approx 6pm, so I hope someone saw it.
As usual
the weather was kind, with a smooth flight to YMGI for passengers
Violet, and her daughter, Lyn ("Bugs"). Violet loved
the hand held GPS....so precious to see her sit and be excited
about all the information on speed and location etc..a girl
after my own heart. Barry Ridden's Bonanza is wonderful, thanks
Barry."

Lyn, Violet
and Tracy.
Thank
you for letting me know about Violet, she was a grateful soul,
I feel privileged to have been a tiny part of her life. I
laugh when I think of how quickly she found her way around
my hand held GPS, and I remember thinking as she puffed after
getting into the Bonanza, that she was " not long in
this world " Moved onto bluer skies, rest her soul. If
you can send my regards to her daughter, "bugs".
Yours
truly
Trace.
