MISSION 115 – ARCHERFIELD / THARGOMINDAH

SUBSEQUENT TRIP (5th ANGEL FLIGHT) – Rebecca, Alister and Mitchell unexpectedly returned to Brisbane arising from a home accident. Alister received 1st degree superficial burns to his face and thanks to the RDFS attended the Brisbane Royal Children’s Hospital in very quick time. Alister has since recovered quite well.

Many thanks to Angel Flight pilots Barry and Cheryl Arentz who accepted this Angel Flight at short notice. This was the second time Barry and Cheryl have helped Rebecca, Alister and Mitchell.

You can read about a previous Angel Flight mission for Rebecca’s family (M44).

Comment from ‘Rebecca

" We arrived safely on Saturday. The trip was very smooth.... Mitchell woke up just before the landing. I'm sure Barry & Cheryl will send some photos through. I didn't take my digital camera (another thing I didn't pack!) so didn't get any photos.

A big thank you for organising our return at such short notice and a very big thank you to Barry & Cheryl for flying us home."

Comment from a ‘Health Professional’

That's a wonderful service you have there. Thanks for your time - I will meet Rebecca at the Burns Outpatients appointment just to ensure all is well with her and the boys before their departure.

Regards,
Martha Druery, Assistant Director of Social Work, Royal Children's Hospital

"Not a lot to report on this trip. Our passengers were a pleasure to take home. The boys ate, played and slept - perfect passengers. We flew out at 6000ft and smooth all the way."

Alister has all the fun!"

"Ahhhhh ……. That’s better."
